today saw the day that avatastic switched from html 4.01 strict to xhtml 1.1 strict. it still renders badly in internet explorer, but as mentioned before that's not a bug with the layout, that's a bug with msie (it works as expected in all other browsers!)

the long awaited zip file support has been added, it is now possible to add files contained in a zip file. the files inside the zip must meet the same restrictions as single uploads and anything which doesn't match will fail to be added, however the entire upload will not be aborted, unless the entire zip contents will bring you over quota.

after a short vacation avatastic is back! you may notice when you log in that you are at 0% of your quota ... this is not a bug, all quota's were given a boost to 512Mb. enjoy!

i mentioned earlier today about changing preferences, however i realised that there isn't really anything to configure at the moment. so if you wander on over to my main blog and leave comments and suggestions as to what you to configure and what you'd like to see avatastic do in the future, please do!

the userbar made its first brief appearance at this time, when it is ready it will provide a means to changing your password, e-mail address or other preferences.
