alias name? what is that?
alias name
in the dark ages of avatastic everyone signed in with an e-mail address and accessed their images with a number. whilst being functional, it was not elegant, so we created the "alias".
you can use the alias in a number of ways: once you pick your alias, it is set in lucite, it can not be changed, ever. (bribes in the forms of cash may result in a change)
in order to keep the addresses compatible with both the http specification and the e-mail specification, only alphanumeric (0-9,a-z) characters as well as hyphens (-), underscores (_) and full stops (.) are permitted in an alias.
examples of valid aliases
  • toast
  • my_crotch
  • mr.sandman
  • a.6-t-9
additionally, an alias can not be all numeric, and there are some funky rules regardings full stops caused by the e-mail address local part rules.
examples of invalid aliases
  • .cheese.
  • 007
  • and_then..
  • and.stop.
  • /.
  • me&thee
  • 6+9
